Distribution Transformer Loading

The Transformer Loading screen is available through the Distribution Transformer Loading widget on the main dashboard. Notice that the same display is at the top of the screen that was displayed on the main dashboard. On this screen utility personnel can investigate loading on distribution transformers. The main display has counts of transformers that fall within different loading ranges. Once one of the loading ranges is selected a listing of transformers within the selected range populates the transformer list along with the transformer load, rating and percent loading. If one of the transformers is selected from the transformer list, then the customers associated with with the selected transformer populate the customer list, the transformer is highlighted on the map and the load history plot is populated with the transformer’s load history.

The data for this display is drawn from the AMI/MDMS system. This tool will finally make it possible for engineers, technicians, and operators to be able to see and track load history on individual transformers and enable them to create and track equipment performance and failure on a per device basis. Such information will allow utilities to get better utilization of their equipment and track and prevent equipment failure.
